2013 Pledge Drive
A huge thank you to all our dedicated participants, donors and volunteers for another stellar year at the Seattle Buddhist Center. Your generous donations, efforts and energy allowed us to:
- Benefit from the wisdom & perspective of experienced practitioners from the US & Europe by establishing a quarterly schedule of visiting Order Members
- Build Sangha with our northwestern neighbors through hosting a successful residential retreat at Sun Lakes
- Deepen our collective practice through increasingly well-attended Sangha Nights, Mitra Study groups, open meditation sits and day retreats
In 2013, in addition to continually evolving our program we hope to:
- Broaden the scope of teaching on offer by increasing the number of visiting Order Members to six per year
- Enhance the beauty of our space with a purpose-built shrine, new artwork and other improvements
- Help those in need of financial assistance to go on retreat by expanding & improving our scholarship program
We need your continued support to do this! Our center is entirely volunteer-run and all of our expenses are met through pledges, donations and revenue from classes.
Monthly pledges are especially helpful as they enable us to budget more effectively. In 2012 pledges ranged from $20 to $250 per month. Donations are tax deductible. We are registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
